ETHICS EVENT - The Ethics of Peer Consultation for Licensed Professionals
Join the GAMFT Supervision Committee for a one-hour CE presentation exploring the ethical considerations of peer consultation. While supervision is not legally required for fully licensed professionals, maintaining high standards of professional competence and integrity is a standard for all marriage and family therapists according to the AAMFT Code of Ethics (2015). Peer consultation is one of the most valuable ways for licensed professionals to uphold the standard and ensure ethically sound clinical practice. Attendees will gain insights into relevant ethical guidelines, the benefits of peer collaboration, and practical steps for forming and sustaining peer consultation groups. The session will also provide opportunities for networking and connecting with others interested in developing their own groups.
